Whereas, the second season of “Arrested Development” was nominated for 11 2005 Emmy awards and won seven;
Whereas, the first and second seasons of “Arrested Development” have, combined, won 13 awards from various recognized groups other than the Academy Of Television Arts And Sciences;
Whereas, “Arrested Development” has been referred to as “one of the best shows of the year”, “a fantastic show”, “the funniest show on television”, “the best new comedy”, “one of the best things to happen to television”, “incredibly funny and ingenious”, and “pants-wettingly funny” by prestigious and discerning critics throughout the United States;
Whereas, “Arrested Development”, as of October 25, 2005, is the highest-rated show in the Comedy category of TV.com with a 9.1 rating of “Superb”;
Whereas, “Arrested Development”, as of October 25, 2005, is first in the TV Comedy Shows (Current) category at RateItAll.com and is the only show in that category with an average rating of 4.0 or higher;
Whereas, over 52000 individuals have, in the past, petitioned to keep “Arrested Development” on television through online means;
We, the undersigned, therefore, petition the executives of FOX Broadcasting Company to allow the program “Arrested Development” to remain in the primetime schedule for the remaining portion of its third season and to return for a fourth season in the fall of 2006.

FOX has officially reduced its order of episodes of Arrested Development and will not be showing the show at all during November.
Some of you may not realize just how serious this situation is. If we do not get our message through, Arrested Development *will not* return ever again.
