Re: FOX screws Arrested Development. Again.
Sat, January 14, 2006 - 12:46 AMI saw a bump on Adult Swim... either last night or the night before during Family Guy or Futurama about AD. It went something like this...
Arrested Development
A brilliant show
Cancelled
Maybe we could pick it up
We've picked stuff out of the Fox trash can before -

Re: FOX screws Arrested Development. Again.

Re: FOX screws Arrested Development. Again.
Sat, January 14, 2006 - 4:01 PMbut Adult Swim is all animated shows, and there's no way that Cartoon Network could afford to produce new episodes of AD. They were being facetious.
But yea, it would be cool.

Re: FOX screws Arrested Development. Again.
Mon, January 16, 2006 - 3:00 PMThe history of live action tv shows transformed into animated series doesn't look promising. Granted, the animated Star Trek was a boyhood favorite of mine, and is soon coming to DVD at last...but then there's...um, The Brady Kids...The Partridge Family In Outer Space...oh yeah, and there's this:

...so maybe the idea wouldn't be completely alien to producer Ron Howard? -

Re: FOX screws Arrested Development. Again.
Tue, January 17, 2006 - 10:40 AMStar Trek WAS cool! But AD needs to stay the way it is...

Re: FOX screws Arrested Development. Again.
Sat, January 14, 2006 - 4:31 PMI have to say, I've watched and followed many critically acclaimed shows that didn't get ratings and subsequently got cancelled. I have *never* seen a network pull a stunt like this. This really saddens me. If the show doesn't get picked up by anybody, this is truly an insulting way to go out. I'm sure Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard aren't going to be doing business with Fox any time soon if they can possibly help it. -

Re: FOX screws Arrested Development. Again.
Wed, January 18, 2006 - 7:17 AMFox are typical mega-networks that can anything unusual and put it to the back shelf. I still hope (even though its old news) Showtime or one of the secondary cable networks picks them up I think AD would have a much better survival rate....and bigger audience.

Friday - it is...so this morning I was thinking oh shit is it this Monday or next Monday - now Friday. I am so glad I checked this tribe today. I most likely would have seen it in meevee later in the week - but I usually don't watch tv on Friday nights. So, maybe not.... -

It's always BORING anyway. A bunch of kids dressed in Cirque du Solei outfits dancing to new age music. Been there, done that -

Re: FOX screws Arrested Development. Again.
Fri, February 10, 2006 - 11:34 AMI think it's interesting that Fox is advertising what they called "the funniest show on TV" as the season finale and not *series* finale.
probably not much sense in holding out hope though... -
