Is it really the end? Did Ron mean they're going to make a movie? Showtime? Fox bringing it back? Somewhere else? Straight to Video? Run on Broadway? Cross Country Tour?

Re: Is it over?
Sun, February 19, 2006 - 11:50 AMIt sure seemed like they plan on making a movie out of it. Hope it wasn't a tease. Wondering though, how does Anne end up being 18 when Michael Jr & Maebe are 16?
They really pushed the envelope with all the potential "incest." Michael with supposed tv sister Nellie (played by Jason Bateman's real life sis, Justine), Michael with Lindsay and, of course, the ongoing love affair of Michael Jr and Maebe. I guess incest is best after all! :) -

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
Re: Is it over?
Sun, February 19, 2006 - 12:23 PMyou point out the inconsistency with Anne's age, but I have a big problem with Lyndsey supposedly being three years older than Michael.
Didn't they grow up together as Twins?
What about at school? Did they hold L back 3 whole grades?
When M was 3 and L was 6, didn't he (or anyone) notice a difference?
Did I miss something that helps explain this, like a line that says Lyndsey was in boarding school or something? -

Re: Is it over?
Sun, February 19, 2006 - 2:04 PMAs for the whole Lindsey being three years older than Michael, there was a brief scene between young Lindsey and young Michael, with Lindsey obviously older than Michael and crying because she was a freak and Michael saying girls just mature faster. Maybe the beginning of Lucille's insulting Lindsey's size was her being so huge for 'her age'? -
-
Re: Is it over?
Sun, February 19, 2006 - 6:10 PMI think it was explained by the fact that Lindsay was in fact adopted. So Lucille & George, ahem, apparently lied to Lindsey about her age and told her she was Michael's twin. Imagine Lucille & Oscar doing something so sinister, evil and stupid just to amuse themselves - could never happen :) So in actuality, Lindsey is not Michael's twin and that explains why she is 3 years older than he is - b/c their rents are lying assholes! -

Re: Is it over?
Sun, February 19, 2006 - 6:32 PMyea, but even if she's adopted, that doesn't really make it any easier to explain how they pulled off the fooling L&M that they were the same age. L would have been walking and talking before M could even crawl.
Whatever, I'll let AD slide on this one.... -

Re: Is it over?
Sun, February 19, 2006 - 9:05 PMI took it as an example of the sort of things kids believe because they've heard it from their parents their whole lives. Exactly like "wine doesn't turn to alcohol unless you leave it standing for a while." -

Re: Is it over?
Sat, February 11, 2006 - 10:08 PMIt looks like its over. Unless one of the other networks OFFICIALLY picks up the show. (not just rumors) I highly doubt FOX would bring it back after the way it treated the show for the past 3 years. (especially this year) i know that they will DEFINTIELY try to cash in by releasing this season on DVD.

Re: Is it over?
Mon, February 13, 2006 - 6:24 AMWill Arnett, was on the Daily Show Thursday night and strongly STRONGLY hinted that the show as going to ABC, but was very clear that he couldn't actually talk about it.
I highly doubt that Ron Howard was serious about making a movie out of it. He was just being a tease.
My favorite moment of the finale? "And that's how the kids got married." -
-
Re: Is it over?
Mon, February 13, 2006 - 9:25 AMThe thing that frustrated me was that Tivo referred to it as a season finale and not a series finale.
I'm sitting there like "Oh Come On!"

Mon, February 13, 2006 - 10:02 AMMy favorite was the new judge, Bud Court...he's one of those "what ever happened to..." people, although I thought his last name was actually spelled 'Cort.' Good to see him on A.D.
